STUDENT EXCELLENCE: OESJ’S CLASS OF 2024 TOP 10 REVEALED

Chloe Callahan-Brittain: Valedictorian
Chloe Callahan-Brittain: Valedictorian

Chloe Callahan-Brittain, is the daughter of Karen Brittain and Marty Callahan, and is the Valedictorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She is the President of the National Honor Society which she has been a member of all four years of high school. Chloe has been a member of the Student Council in 11th and 12th grade and serves as the President and head of the Inclusivity Committee. She is also the President of the OESJ Class of 2024. Chloe plans to attend LeMoyne College this fall as a Biology major. and later attend dental school, specializing in Orthodontics or Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

Georgia Bailey: Salutatorian
Georgia Bailey: Salutatorian

Georgia Bailey, is the Salutatorian of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Micheal Bailey II. Georgia became the treasurer of the OESJ class of 2024 during her senior year. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since 10th grade and became a member of the Student Council during her senior year. She is the band treasurer of the high school band, the leader of her band section, the band librarian, and the leader of the color guard. She likes to read novels and drive small vehicles in her free time. Georgia plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology University to pursue a combined bachelor’s/master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

 

Ashlyn Strobel: Top 10
Ashlyn Strobel: Top 10

Ashlyn Strobel, is the granddaughter of Eric and Joanne Strobel. Ashlyn is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Ashlyn has participated in Cross Country in 11th and 12th grade and Track in 9th grade. Ashlyn plans to go to St.Lawrence University in the fall for medical
studies. In her free time, Ashlyn loves hanging out with her cats and playing tennis.

 

Blake Bergen: Top 10
Blake Bergen: Top 10

Blake Bergen, is the son of Karyn and Robert Bergen Jr., and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. He has been in the National Honor Society since the 10th grade, and served as the chapter’s vice president during his senior year, along with being a member of the Student Council. Blake played varsity golf during 9th grade and varsity baseball during his senior year. Blake plans to attend SUNY Oswego in the fall of 2024 to pursue a major in History to teach history in the coming years.

 

Jacob Walrath: Top 10
Jacob Walrath: Top 10

Jacob Walrath, is the son of Kimberly and Jarrod Walrath and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. He has been a member of the National Honor Society since 9th grade. Jacob has participated in sports his entire high school career. He has been a team captain in soccer, basketball, and baseball during his junior and senior year. He won
a WAC All-star award for both baseball and soccer, as well as a Scholar-Athlete award for basketball. Jacob plans to attend SUNY Oswego, majoring in Broadcast and Mass Communications.

 

Jordan DeNinno: Top 10
Jordan DeNinno: Top 10

Jordan DeNinno, is the daughter of Rebecca and Scott DeNinno, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She is the secretary of the National Honor Society as well as the class secretary. Jordan has been the vice president of the high school band in both her junior and senior years and a drum major since 10th grade. She has participated in varsity track and field and varsity soccer all four years of high school, serving as a captain in 12th grade. Jordan plans to attend SUNY Delhi to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Nursing and later her master’s degree in Nursing Administration. She will also be playing Division III soccer.

 

Kandace Frye: Top 10
Kandace Frye: Top 10

Kandace Frye, is the daughter of Jeff Frye and is ranked in the top 10 of the
Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. Kandace enjoys listening to music in her spare time. She plans to attend Herkimer Community College to study Psychology then transfer to a four year school.

 

 

 

Mallory Miles: Top 10
Mallory Miles: Top 10

 

Mallory Miles is the daughter of Melissa Miles and Robert Trudell and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She is the secretary of the Student Council and head of the Peer-Tutoring Committee. Mallory is the treasurer of the National Honor Society, of which she has been a member since ninth grade. She is a co-treasurer of the band and leader of her section. Mallory plans to attend Le Moyne College for Pre-Law and later go on to law school.

 

Sara Brownell: Top 10
Sara Brownell: Top 10

Sara Brownell, is the daughter of Gordon and Rachel Brownell, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. Throughout high school, Sara has been a member of The National Honor Society, FFA, and Student Council. She also has been the president of choir throughout high school and vice president of Student Council her 10th grade
year. In her free time, she enjoys woodworking. Sara is graduating school a year early. Following school she will be starting a full time job, and get certified in Interior Design.

 

Tahirah Lettow: Top 10
Tahirah Lettow: Top 10

Tahirah Lettow, is the daughter of Phillip Lettow and Richelle Starker, and is ranked in the top 10 of the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Class of 2024. She has been an athlete throughout high school playing on varsity soccer for four years and served as a captain in 12th grade. Tahirah attends CTE studying Computer Technology and Cybersecurity. In her free time she loves to travel. Tahirah is enlisted in the US Navy and her rate is IT/ATF.
